I was Bamberg,Germany with the 2/2ACR Fox Troop Scouts deployed with that unit from Dec 90-April 91 in SWA.Unit deactivated in 1992 and I was sent to HHC 3/5CAV Scout Platoon Kirchgoens,Germany.I am also having health issues that a person my age should not be having.37 years who feels like 67 most of the time.My lower joints all have Degerative Arthritis in them.My lower back included, which also have Scoliosis. On top of all that I have been diagonsed with Prolonged PTSD, Generalized Anziety,Major Depression, and I have Sleep Apnea. Can anyone relate to my conditions who served in the Gulf?

The best and possibly only route is not to go streight to the undiagnosed illness as a comp claim. You have to claim your independant symptoms first ie... I have CFS (chronic fatigue Syndrome) ME (fibromyalgia) IBS (irratable bowel syndrome) and GRR (no idea what this stands for)lol... as well as tinnitus.. the grouping of the first 3 is then classified as U.D.M.S.I. Others can correct me if I am mistaken but you have to get the symptoms diagnosed first you can ask for a LMW (low molecular weight) blood test as the first step to diagnose CFS... By the way their is also a new test I just found out about .....
"The new study involved stomach biopsies done through endoscopy which revealed a strong association between enterovirus and CFS. While a confirmatory stomach biopsy might not change the course of treatment for any chronic fatigue syndrome patient, it could be the evidence that long term disability lawyers need to obtain benefits for clients from disability insurance companies. Gotcha Unum and MetLife! For any of my disability insurance claim clients fighting a CFS case, I will be sure to tell them to discuss an upper GI endoscopy with their treating physician."
This is a direct cut and paste from the article.. for info to oters...
As others mentioned get a VSO (DAV) to help you file then just tell them what is going on and provide them any proof or doctors you have seen and they will do the rest but it isnt a quick or easy haul... You will be told alot of BS by diff docs. you just have to stick in there and if your PC doc doesnt believe you just ask for another PC. I will tell you this from personal experience it helps if you tell the doc exactly how you feel and how it is interfeering with your life and family. Lots of us have lost spouses that were unwilling to stand by us for the long haul. You should also apply for SSD-SSI if you are unable to work and once again get representation these illnesses are not able to be tangably diagnosable the only thing they have to go on is what you tell them. Start keeping a log of what is wrong and what happens on a day to day basis cause you will forget alot if you dont write it down and pinpoint the area that hurts for example.... I have to go but will be back later...
