I have encountered a situation and I am not sure what to do (or which area to post this in). I received a letter from the regional office the other day informing me that I had a new C&P exam scheduled in a few weeks. The problem with this is that along with that one page letter was another veteran's claim information.
I was mailed another veteran's paperwork in reference to his claim. It is the paperwork that they send initially telling you that they have received the claim and are processing it and what they still need from the veteran. There are about twelve pages of paperwork all together.
I am not sure how to make sure the veteran receives his paperwork. I could send it to him via USPS or something, but then that poses an issue of why I have the paperwork in the first place. I could return it to the VA but then what will happen to it. I hope the members can give me some advice or suggestions. Thank you in advance.

This happened to me also, I called the VA, and they said thank you for the info, and destroy the paper. At least that was the way it happened here.

I mail it to the veteran if an address is on it because we all know what is going to happen the mailroom shows it has been mailed out (but not to you) so the veteran is sitting there thinking they are working on his claim and a year from now he is going to get a denial because they never got the additiopnal info they requested you don't have to put you named and address on it just put it in a blank envelope and forward it it is the right thing to do the VA says destroy it so they don't look stupid who cares if they look stupid the vey matters don't they?
