Well friends, I'm off to Alaska (Anchorage) for a week starting tomorrow. Gotta see my grandpunkins. As some of you know, I lived there for 10 years, so it's still "home" to me.
Wanda and Gary will peek in from time-to-time, so just direct any questions or concerns to them while I'm away.
There's a bunch of good folks around here on the bulletin board, so just ask and someone will be more than glad to help out.
I'm spending most of today getting the dog to boarding and everything packed. I don't know if I'll have much access to the internet while I'm gone, but I'll check in when I can.

These long trips take their toll on me physically, but it's worth the effort and expense once I get there. However, this isn't really a 'pretty' time of year to be going as it's the beginning of Spring Break-up and everything is muddy, and it's also the beginning of avalanche season.

Infact, just do a Google search for "alaska pictures" and there will be a ton of beautiful scenes to look at. I'm gettin' excited now and probably won't sleep tonight.
Don't be surprised if I just stay up there-- especially if I find Grizzly Adams to keep me warm! LOL

Had a L-O-O-O-NG flight, but arrived safe and in 1 piece. My legs hurt from the swelling during the flight, but they're going down some now. It's already starting to turn into longer days here now. Sunset will be at 9:53 p.m. tonight.
I passed out copies of Beyond Treason DVD to several folks along the way, including some military folks at the airport in Montgomery. I brought several copies with me to give out to veteran friends and service organizations I belong to here in Anchorage. Gee, if I had to file taxes anymore, I could probably deduct the cost of my trip here?!?!
Will try to keep in touch, but not sure if I'll have access to the internet at Ft Richardson for the next few days (Elmendorf's billeting is filled up).
