This hadn't happened ever before and now for the past few weeks I have been getting sales calls via computer on my cell phone. You get a call, there's silence for a few seconds, and then someone gets on the line with a sales pitch.
Yesterday the same number called several times.
I registered with the national do not call government registry here:
The site says it may take a month for this to activate. Anyone registered their phone?

Yes, the telemarketers are hitting the cell phone numbers. They are also text messaging with sales pitches. I have been getting stuff on my ambulance's cell phone the past few weeks. They just go through the available numbers and whatever ones are activated get the calls. I just can't wait until I am in the middle of a 9-1-1 situation and can't contact my office because the line is tied up with an incoming call....

Very similar situation with me as my cell phone is for pharmacy, office, or crisis calls with the emergency room.

We get these calls about ten -20 a day! I generally consider myself a nice guy,but these people would test the patience of the Pope! Thanks Doc I just logged on that site and added my number! GOD bless
