Need to find someone that knows about the Gulf War Illness to help with VA applications. Send e-mail with info. I am in Oklahoma.

Shield, go to your local VA and ask where the service officers are located. There are several organizations who will represent you for free and you do not have to be a member of their organization to be represented. Personally, I use the VFW, but there are many others, including the DAV, American Legion, PVA, to name a few. Talk to each of the representatives and figure out which one is the most knowledgable about Gulf War Illness issues and choose him/her. They will file all of the paperwork for you and represent you throughout the claim. Just make sure that you choose a good one. One way to check them out is to ask other vets at your local VA which organization they use and their opinion of them. Good Luck.

And, even with the assistance of a representative,do your own homework,research, make copies. You might find yourself doing it on your own one day.
