hey tirednnc, why would they do that?, have you according to your doc improved? or do you have any other conditions? I would be baffled by this,I don't know if you are close to your regional office, but go,and find out why, or call.

hey tirednc, sometimes the Dav gets it wrong,I have seen evidence of that, they get their wires crossed, so lets pray that is the case,
also,go to your release of info place in the records department of the Va, and request a copy of the doctors report, then you will know for sure what was said, because sometime the rating board
doesn't see everything, but if you have the docs
report,they cannot really argue.

I believe that you could apply for the TDIU,but
I believe you will lose the chapter 35 benifits.
and Like I said before, get a copy of the docs report, then you can go from there, do you have ibs, or chronic tiredness? put in a claim for that or fibrommyalgia(SP), headaches, if you beleive that you have anything due to your service, file, till they are blue in the face,

talked with my VA phychiatrist today. he said he rated my GAF a 52 cause he learned a 40 is really bad. asked my did my PTSD keep me from working and i told him yes. he asked why and i told him the truth about me. he said he was sorry and he only administers my medicine. what a piece of shit. my c&p doctor last word was she would rate me unable to work. i am requesting my c&p exams to see what exactly was said and put on paper. do my doc statement out weigh the c&p doctor. i have a IU form on file and was used for evidence but not addressed in the rating letter

Tired,

I hope they don't screw you up like that. I'm posting the schedule of ratings for PTSD (Adjustment Disorder) here for you so you can see how they may be evaluating you:

9440 Chronic adjustment disorder

General Rating Formula for Mental Disorders:

Total occupational and social impairment, due to such symptoms as:
gross impairment in thought processes or communication;
persistent delusions or hallucinations; grossly inappropriate
behavior; persistent danger of hurting self or others; intermittent
inability to perform activities of daily living (including maintenance
of minimal personal hygiene); disorientation to time or place; memory
loss for names of close relatives, own occupation, or own name 100

Occupational and social impairment, with deficiencies in most areas,
such as work, school, family relations, judgment, thinking, or mood,
due to such symptoms as: suicidal ideation; obsessional rituals
which interfere with routine activities; speech intermittently illogical,
obscure, or irrelevant; near-continuous panic or depression affecting
the ability to function independently, appropriately and effectively;
impaired impulse control (such as unprovoked irritability with periods
of violence); spatial disorientation; neglect of personal appearance and
hygiene; difficulty in adapting to stressful circumstances (including
work or a worklike setting); inability to establish and maintain
effective relationships 70

Occupational and social impairment with reduced reliability and
productivity due to such symptoms as: flattened affect; circumstantial,
circumlocutory, or stereotyped speech; panic attacks more than once
a week; difficulty in understanding complex commands; impairment
of short- and long-term memory (e.g., retention of only highly learned
material, forgetting to complete tasks); impaired judgment; impaired
abstract thinking; disturbances of motivation and mood; difficulty in
establishing and maintaining effective work and social relationships 50

Occupational and social impairment with occasional decrease in work
efficiency and intermittent periods of inability to perform occupational
tasks (although generally functioning satisfactorily, with routine
behavior, self-care, and conversation normal), due to such symptoms
as: depressed mood, anxiety, suspiciousness, panic attacks (weekly or
less often), chronic sleep impairment, mild memory loss (such as
forgetting names, directions, recent events) 30

Occupational and social impairment due to mild or transient symptoms
which decrease work efficiency and ability to perform occupational
tasks only during periods of significant stress, or; symptoms controlled
by continuous medication 10

A mental condition has been formally diagnosed, but symptoms are not
severe enough either to interfere with occupational and social
functioning or to require continuous medication 0
