I don't know if it's my computer or if it's just this site, but the screen pages have become VERY SLOW in turning over for me. Is anyone else experiencing a slow system here? I don't seem to have this problem on the other sites I go to.
We had a similar problem on our old board and it had to do with the amount of volume we had for the bandwith. But this new board hasn't had that problem (until now, possibly). I just want to get an estimate of how many others are experiencing the same thing I am.

Same here, I was just trying to post a reply and got sort of booted, seems like this site is bugged, Gale, you know if the server is secure?
This started about a week ago my virus protection caught a trojan when I was posting.
Then I could'nt access threads, only the forum roots, strange.

As of yet, we don't know what's causing this. Wanda and Gary (our webmasters) have done everything possible in the control panel, but it appears as though it's stemming from the server.
We've had problems before, but with a different server. So, please be patient as they try to figure out how to solve the problem without losing any information. We've had to restore all the files manually before when the board crashed, and believe me... It was a very tedious task! But at least, Gary and Wanda are always very good about backing up the files.
Thanks for your patience and understanding in the meantime.

In the event this continues for any length of time, or we are without a bulletin board completely here, please feel free to use the International Gulf War Council's Message Board here:
It's been a while since it's been used or updated, but it's still good. You might bookmark it or add it to your Favorite's list in case this board crashes. Just consider it a back up place to post in case our server here crashes again.

I have been opening two browsers and while I wait on this site, I look at whatever else I have open. It helps to sooth the frustration. Not an answer, but a little solution for my problem with waiting.
I noticed a very severe problem with google a couple of weeks ago - if you typed a search it would direct you, but when you clicked on the links they took you someplace crazy not at all related to the text or title of the search. I was completely freaked out when this started happening at first I thought it was my computer. It had to be the google server. Perhaps this is a temparary problem they will get resolved at the server level with this site. I am hopeful it will get worked out as the google problem is now resolved.

As you may have noticed, we've had technical problems again over the past few days. Our webmasters have managed to fix the problem for the time being, but they have advised me this is a temporary fix. They will be out of town this weekend, so please be patient until they get back and can spend more time trouble-shooting the problem.

I am still having an incredible amount of trouble with the site. Since it is the only site with the problem, I think there is something that is eating up the memory within the server. Perhaps the animated graphics are causing this. It did seem to get worse as we added more flashing dots, etc.
